Focused Technology Solutions Signs Licensing Agreement with FTS Tools LLC

Focused Technology Solutions Inc., a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway company, has agreed to a licensing deal with FTS Tools LLC for their revolutionary, battery-operated, maintenance-of-way tool line.

Van Fry, President of FTS Tools LLC, believes this agreement is the beginning of a bright future for the company.

“In just over three years, Focused Technology has made an incredible impact on the railroad industry, and we’re here to take these transformative tools to the next level,” Fry said. “The best days for this industry are ahead, and we believe this tool line is a big reason why.”

The company will continue to utilize the same engineering, manufacturing, and warehousing resources while operating under the same FTS product brands.

“We are pleased that FTS Tools LLC will be taking our revolutionary tool line, including the SpikeEase, DrillEase, LagEase, and more, to new heights,” the company said in a message to their customers on February 2.

Focused Technology Solutions’ battery-operated tool platform has been popular with Class I railroads across the United States and Canada since its inception in 2018. The SpikeEase spike puller and SpikeForce spike driver have been in the maintenance-of-way category since 2019.

Focused Technology Solutions is part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., which comprises 11 groups and more than 100 autonomous businesses with total annual revenue of $10 billion. Marmon’s 20,000-plus team members serve diverse industries and markets worldwide. Marmon is a Berkshire Hathaway company.
